Declaration of Conformity
The latest list of Machinery Directive Harmonised Standards was published in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJ) on 9 March 2018 (reference 2018/C 092/01). These Harmonised standards provide a presumption of conformity with the essential health and safety requirements (EHSRs) of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC (see below for definitions of Harmonised Standard and Machinery Directive ). It is not obligatory to comply with Harmonised Standards, but doing so provides a presumption of conformity with the essential requirements of the relevant directive. Machinery Directive definition The Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC is the European legislative act that provides the regulatory basis for the harmonisation of the essential health and safety requirements for machinery at European Union level. Directive 2006/42/EC is a revised version of the Machinery Table of Standards Harmonised to the 2006/42/EC Machinery Directive.
The technical requirements are based on harmonised standards or in the Key words: certification, assessment, CE-mark, machinery, Directive 2006/42/EC. Directive on the approximation of laws of the. This is the list of standards that may be used by machinery manufacturers to prove that their machinery complies with the essential requirements of this directive. The Directive has the dual aim of harmonising the health and safety requirements applicable to machinery on the basis of a high level of protection of health and safety, while ensuring the free circulation of machinery on the EU market.
